<p>The method involves producing an application test equipment (12) for test purposes with an application test message (28) in accordance with application-specific information. The application test message is of a practicing averaging module (42) of the application test equipment (12) and inserted into a LAN WAN connection in accordance with a protocol for data communication between devices. The LAN WAN connection of the application test equipment (12) allows information to be conveyed to one of the application test equipment remote from the telecommunications terminal. The application test message in the telecommunications terminal test equipment (18, 20) is inferred from the LAN WAN connection. The application test message is inserted by the telecommunications terminal test equipment into a telecommunications transmission message (32) in accordance with transmission protocol for a telecommunications data communication. The telecommunications transmission message is conveyed by the telecommunications terminal test equipment over a telecommunications data communication connection (24, 26) to an application environment (14, 15), into which the application is embedded. The application test message is inferred by the application environment from the telecommunications transmission message and handed over to the application.
