A silent hook-and-loose fastener, comprising a noise suppressing means and an auxiliary engaging and disengaging means, wherein not only an engaging strength necessary as the hook-and-loose fastener (1) is compensated by the auxiliary engaging and disengaging means though the engaging strength necessary as the hook-and- loop fastener (1) may not be obtained by the adoption of the noise suppressing means but also the auxiliary engaging and disengaging means prevents noise from occurring when the fastener is disengaged at the time of peeling, whereby since merely a peeling noise reduced by the noise suppressing means is generated when the surface fastener is peeled off, merely a silent noise of 80 dB max. is emitted.
