Shift fork for a vehicular transmission with sliding shoes

The fork has sliders (2, 3) forming sliding surfaces and fastened to a base plate, where the sliders are made up of coated metal such as steel or aluminum and designed in the form of a plate or a square pipe by cutting or plastic deformation. The sliding surfaces are manufactured by coating with a solid lubricant e.g. molybdenum or brass. The lubricant is spread on the metal using a thermal spraying method e.g. flames spraying method. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a slider.
