PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation system making a position of a registered memory location easy-to-understand in memory location registration. SOLUTION: The navigation system comprises: a searching means searching for positional coordinates of an inputted location and a street's name corresponding to the inputted location; a registering means registering the positional coordinates and the street's name searched for by the searching means with correlating them; and a notifying means notifying the street's name registered by the registering means. The searching means determines whether the street's name corresponding to the inputted location can be searched for or not, and when the street's name cannot be searched for, searches for a facility's name corresponding to the inputted location.
