Optical system with variable imaging characteristics and method for adjusting variable imaging characteristics

The system has a focal beam on which a photosensitive sensor is arranged, an optical element, whose illustration characteristics are variable. The optical element is a dynamic light modulator which is assigned an arithmetic and logic unit. The optical functions of the modulator are dynamically addressable and adjustable. An independent claim is included for a method.
