1284098 Buckles GOTEBORGS BANDVAVERI AB 10 Dec 1969 [19 Dec 1968 29 May 1969] 60218/69 Heading E2B The releasable anchorage of a seat belt 5 consists of a headed pin 2 held by balls 11 which are prevented from radial releasing movement by a slideable sleeve 17, Fig. 1, and which are held in the disengaging position by upward movement of a spring-loaded sleeve 13 Fig. 2 which is depressed, in use, by the head of the pin to free the balls for inward, fastening movement. Depression of the sleeve 13 by improper means is prevented by a pusher 14 or by a pin which can pass through a bore in the sleeve 13. In the 'ready' position; Fig. 2, the sleeve 13 is held in the correct position by engaging the balls in recesses 25 and this also serves to hold the sleeve 17 in the raised position ready to receive the pin. In the modification shown in Fig. 4, the locking sleeve 28 is forced down against spring pressure by a tilting lever 32 pressed at 31 through an aperture 35 in a casing. |
