A pneumatic tyre is provided with breaker layer inserts of cords which are formed of twisted yarns each consisting of a number of twisted textile threads, the twist of both the threads in the yarns and of the yarns in the cords being given by the formula where W is the number of turns per metre length and T the denier multiplied by the number of threads per yarn or yarns per cord; and in which the number of threads per 10 cm. at the crown of the tyre measured perpendicularly to the direction of the individual threads is given by the formula where C is the number of threads. |
