Water sprayer with a gun body locked by a keyway

A water sprayer comprises a gun body 10 has a retaining flange 11 formed with two radially opposite keyways 12 which mate with a keys 23 on shoulder 22 of a mounting sleeve 20. The flange 11 and shoulder 22 are held axially in place by engaging sleeve 40 which has an outer thread 41 that is screwed into inner thread 21 in the mounting sleeve 20 so that an end face 45 rests on flange 11. Engaging sleeve 20 also has tapered elastic urging plates 42 which close about and grip an extension rod 30 when compressed by an urging cap 50 which is screwed onto a remaining part of the outer thread 41 of engaging sleeve 40. This assembly provides efficient position of the extension rod 30 and rigidly secures the mounting sleeve 20 to the gun body 10.
