A barrel 1 for a launcher of fin-stabilized projectiles comprises two parts 2, 3 of approximately the same length adapted to be screwed together and having co-operating guide surfaces 7a, 7b, 8a, 8b, grooving being provided to interrupt the continuity of engagement between the threaded and guide surfaces such that they can only be brought into and out of mutual engagement by screwing and unscrewing movements, respectively. In the construction shown, the muzzle end part of the barrel is provided with a threaded sleeve 4 and the threaded spigot of the other part is provided with the grooves 10 which are longitudinally extending to receive any dirt which may be in the threads when the parts are assembled. Blind holes 14, (15, Fig. 2, not shown) may be provided in a reinforced annular part 13 of the barrel part 3 and the sleeve 4, respectively, for the insertion of hookshaped keys to facilitate the screwing together of the barrel parts. |
