The engine has a dampening barrier (23) arranged in a void space (16) to dampen pressure pulsation of gas contained in the space. The barrier has an elastically deformable ring unit (30) and a dampening unit (24) with two annular portions (25, 26) which are alternatively placed and are fixed to corresponding zones (25a, 26a) that are remotely placed on a mobile wall (14) and a cap (10) with respect to an axis (2), respectively. An independent claim is also included for a process of manufacturing a rocket engine with grain.
