<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To disclose mapping of a gamepad controller. <P>SOLUTION: An embodiment of the invention includes a gamepad supporting an internal mapping system. A user may re-map functions associated with any input mechanism of the gamepad to any other input mechanism. This gamepad may include an extra non-standard input mechanism.
