<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid state image pickup device that can improve a color mixture from an adjacent color filter layer, line shades, and a variation in sensitivity. <P>SOLUTION: A solid state image pickup device 1, on which a plurality of pixels having photoelectric conversion elements 13 and color filter layers 21 formed on the photoelectric conversion elements 13 are arranged in a matrix shape on a semiconductor substrate 11, has resinous sections 20 formed so as to project from the formation surface on a boundary area with the adjacent photoelectric elements 13, wherein each color filter layer 21 is formed across crowning parts of the adjacent resinous sections 20, and the thickness of each color filter layer 21 in its peripheral part corresponding to the crowning part is formed to be thinner than its central part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
