<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a socket having small outline dimensions, occupying a small area in a substrate, and having high dimensional accuracy, wherein a module can be inexpensively, easily and accurately mounted. <P>SOLUTION: This socket 10 in which the module is housed has a bottom member comprising an insulating material and facing the bottom face of the module, and a side wall member composed of a terminal 21 loaded in the bottom member and a single metal plate, which is attached to the bottom member to surround at least a part of the side of the module throughout its entire periphery, and the socket elastically holds the module. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
