PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical module wherein leakage of light from a laser element from a reflector can effectively be avoided without enlarging the optical module. SOLUTION: The optical module includes the laser element 11 in which a plurality of semiconductor layers are laminated and which emits light and the reflector 12 having a reflection face 12a inclined with respect to an optical axis of light L emitted from the laser element 11.
