PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a humidifier with a humidifying filter resistant to repetitive load such as wetting and drying and free of easy surface deformation with hand touch during cleaning the humidifying filter, thus maintaining stable and comfortable humidifying performance for a long time. SOLUTION: The humidifier comprises a body having a blowing means 4 in an air flow path 3 formed in communication with an air inlet 1 and an air outlet 2, a water tank 7 provided in the body 5, and the hollow cylindrical humidifying filter 8 whose lower part is always immersed in water stored in the water tank 7, rotatably journaled into the air flow path 3. The humidifying filter 8 consists of a cylindrical filter material 9, a filter frame 11 for cylindrically holding the filter material 9 at its inside, and a protecting net 10 covering the filter material 9. The filter material 9 is protected from the repetitive load such as wetting and drying, thus preventing the degradation of the humidifying performance due to the deformation of the humidifying filter 8.
