PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pipe joint of a vacuum line in a vacuum packaging machine capable of solving a problem that the internal capacity of a hose is large, the air suction efficiency is degraded, and oxygen molecules adhered to the inside of a pipe line are hardly eliminated in a forced manner since the hose is shrunk according to the differential pressure while a rotary valve around the rotary vacuum packaging machine is connected to a pressure-proof chamber around the rotary valve via the hose, and the vertical opening/closing motion of each lid is facilitated by utilizing the deflection characteristic of the hose. SOLUTION: A hard outer pipe 33 connected to one end of a straight pipe 26 with the other end connected to a rotary valve overlaps a hard inner pipe 34 fixed to a lid 12 of a pressure-proof chamber in an expandable manner to reduce the pipe capacity. The pipe line is expandable corresponding to the opening/closing operation of the pressure-proof chamber. When vacuum is applied into the straight pipe 26 by a vacuum pump 70, a rubber-made double seal wall 40 having a U-shaped section arranged in a space 35 formed between both pipes prevents air leakage.
