PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem in a conventional hill-climbing method technology incapable of following up to maximum electric power when shade is generated in a part of a photovoltaic cell panel and a plurality of maximum values are generated in output of the photovoltaic cell.
SOLUTION: This control method for a photovoltaic power generation system following up variation in a solar radiation condition to control a photovoltaic cell output setting value to a proper value includes a genetic algorithm process and a hill-climbing process. In the genetic algorithm process employing a photovoltaic cell output setting value as a gene and output electric power as an evaluation value for the gene, a plurality of genes are extracted at random and output power matching the respective genes is stored and selected as an evaluation value, and crossing-over and mutation is repeated for converging a difference between a maximum output voltage and a minimum output voltage to that within a predetermined range. In the hill-climbing process, a photovoltaic cell output setting value matching the converged maximum output voltage value and values larger/smaller than the maximum value by a predetermined amount are set and the greatest output power among these values is selected, and by repeating these steps, the maximum value for the output power is followed.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
