PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stage device in which an X direction moving member and a Y direction moving member do not generate play to a fixing and supporting substrate and which always operates smoothly, and a hand blurring correction device for a camera utilizing the stage device. SOLUTION: The stage device is provided with a fixing and supporting substrate 10, an X direction moving member 20 supported to freely move only in the particular X direction on the fixing and supporting substrate via an X direction guiding means, and a Y direction moving member 30 supported on the X direction moving member 20 to freely move only in the Y direction crossing in orthogonal to the X direction in parallel to the X direction moving member via an Y direction guiding means. In this stage device, ball rotation supporting holes 27 formed of through-holes are formed on the locations of each vertex of a virtual triangle to the X direction moving member, and each ball rotation supporting hole is engaged to rotate in the entire direction the ball BC placed in contact with the fixing and supporting substrate and Y direction moving member.
