<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for measuring control time for a gas exchange valve of an internal combustion engine, capable of highly reliably determining the control time for the gas exchange valve of the internal combustion engine. <P>SOLUTION: In the method for measuring the control time for the gas exchange valve of the internal combustion engine in which change in combustion chamber pressure (p) is measured, a state function (K (i)) is calculated from change (p (i)) in the combustion chamber pressure (p) and change (V (i)) in combustion chamber volume, and the control time for the gas exchange valve is determined by evaluation of the state function (K (i)). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
