PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the manufacturing cost of an annular stator body of a motor stator. SOLUTION: A plurality of stator pieces 38 are disposed at an inner portion of a casing 37 having a first flange 37b protruded at one edge in the axial direction of a cylindrical circumferential wall 37a inward in the radial direction so as to go along the inner surface of the circumferential wall 37a, and then a second flange 37c facing the first flange 37b is tightened at the other end in the axial direction of the circumferential wall 37a of the casing 37 with a bolt 39. The plurality of stator pieces 38 are compressed by the first and second flanges 37b, 37c in the axial direction, to support the plurality of stator pieces 38 outward in the diametrical direction to bring it into contact with an inner surface of the circumferential wall 37a, thus constituting the annular stator body so as to rigidly and integrally form the plurality of stator pieces 38 is made possible. Also providing reduction in the manufacturing cost, by reducing the size of a forming die and improving ease of process compared to the case in which the stator body is constituted of a single member is made possible.
