PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a column of a steel structure coated by a fire-resistive coating material protecting steel structure from combustion heat at the time of fire which has excellent fire-resistive performance by uniforming temperature increase of the steel structure. SOLUTION: The column 1 of the steel structure is erected on reinforced concrete 2 as a floor and supports a deck plate 3 to be an upper floor at its upper end. The column 1 has a square steel tube 4 having longitudinal length 300mm×horizontal length 300mm×steel material thickness 9mm×height 5000mm, as a shaped steel column and has a fire-resistive coating 5 as the fire-resistive coating material for coating its outernal surface. The thickness of coating of the fire-resistive coating 5 is smoothly reduced from an upper part of the square steel tube 4 to a lower part thereof. The thicknesses of coating of the fire-resistive coating 5 are average 3.1mm in an upper part of the square steel tube 4 and average 2.3mm in a lower part thereof. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
