<p>Al ions present in anodic Al oxidation bath are passed under effect of an electric field through the pores of a diaphragm into an aqs. solution at pH 6-9, made to react with the solution and precipitated as Al cpds. which dissolve with difficulty, particularly Al(OH)3. Pref. solution for anodic oxidation is recycled. Pref. solution for pptn. is heated at start of regeneration to 25-50 (30-40) degrees C, and more pref. solution for pptn. is circulated in closed cycle. Apparatus pref. comprises a closed diaphragm container placed within container traversed by electrolyte. Anode is fitted outside of diaphragm container and cathode is inside it. When voltage is set up, H+ and Al+++ are transferred to inner chamber where H+ ions are discharged at cathode and released as H2, while Al+++ ions react with neutral or weakly alkaline solution and are pptd. Solution is led to a filter and pump.</p> |
