<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electro-optical device that can prevent interference of lights, reflected from light reflecting films and also avoid the occurrence of luminance variations and dazzling, and to provide electronic equipment that uses the same. <P>SOLUTION: In a TFT array substrate 10 of a reflection or transflection type electro-optical device, irregular patterns 8g for scattering light are formed on the surface of the light-reflecting films 8a by forming lower side irregularities-forming films 13a at each pixel 100a formed in a matrix form. Here, the pixels 100a are grouped into multiple units by multi-pixels and are arranged so that the irregular patterns 8g have different configuration for each pixel 100a at least with units.
