Spraying apparatus adapted to be moved over a surface to be sprayed comprises a nozzle 3 adapted to rotate on a rearwardlyinclined shaft and means to ensure that spraying is effected only in a rearward direction. Preferably the nozzle is located on the centre line of the shaft; and it may be driven externally or by flow of the spray material, and may be provided with a connection for compressed gas to assist atomisation. The means for ensuring rearward spray may comprise a valve in the feed line 12, or a casing having a rearwardly directed elongated outlet 10, spray material which strikes the casing being drained and withdrawn by suction of pump 2 and recirculated through line 12.</p> |
