PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate link information between an animation and a still picture in the case of recording the still picture during recording of the animation so as to enhance the accessibility from the still picture to the animation or from the animation to the still picture. SOLUTION: In the case of recording the still picture during recording of the animation, a link information table representing the cross-reference between the animation and the still picture is generated and recorded on a recording medium so that the link information table is referenced at reproduction of the still picture and the animation before and after the recording of the still picture can easily be accessed.
