PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anode/cathode terminal structure for improving soldering at the time of mounting on a printed wiring board in a solid electrolytic capacitor comprising: a capacitor element consisting of an anode member, a dielectric member, and a cathode member; an anode terminal and a cathode terminal connected, respectively, with the anode member and the cathode member of the capacitor element; and coating resin covering the capacitor element. SOLUTION: In the solid electrolytic capacitor, anode/cathode terminals have a portion exposed from the coating resin on the lower surface of the solid electrolytic capacitor and on the first/second side faces connected with the lower surface, a recess opening toward the lower surface is formed in the portion on the first/second side faces of the anode/cathode terminals exposed from the coating resin on the first/second side faces, and the surface of the recess formed in the anode/cathode terminals is covered with a plating layer.
