PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protective cover of a switch device composed by reducing a space in opening a movable cover by reducing the radius of the rotation of the movable cover as small as possible. SOLUTION: This protective cover is provided with a fixed cover 4 fixed to an operation part 1 for attaching a safety plug 2 thereto, and the movable cover 5 rotatable throughout a first position covering the safety plug 2 and a second position releasing the safety plug 2, and is so structured as to prevent, by mounting locks 6, the movable cover 5 from being opened when the movable cover is located at the first position. Rotation shafts (screws 7) of the movable cover 5 are mounted in positions excluding ends of side walls 4b of the fixed cover 4. The locks 6 are attached to the fixed cover 4.
