PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stabilizer composition for halogen-containing vinyl polymer, particularly stabilizer composition that is effective in protecting for halogen-containing vinyl polymer from degradation and discoloration during processing or long term use. SOLUTION: The stabilized polymer composition which contains halogen-containing vinyl polymer and the stabilizer composition comprises a hydrotalcite, and a zinc mercaptide, a mixture of a thiol containing organic compound and a zinc carboxylate, or a combination comprising one or more of the stabilizer.
