摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image carrier driving device capable of performing startup at the time of starting a motor so as not to cause phase shift in the variation of the angular velocity of each image carrier, and a tandem type image forming apparatus having the image carrier driving device.

SOLUTION: A control means controls to raise the frequency f1 of a command signal stepwise for a predetermined time t1 at the time of starting the motor for driving the photoreceptor drum and make it constant after attaining predetermined frequency f2.
