<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To certainly suppress spreading and damage to an airbag in mounting and to smoothly deploy the airbag into a cabin by a simple and economical constitution. <P>SOLUTION: The occupant restriction device 20 is provided with the airbag 38 mounted to an inner member 2b of a roof side rail 2 along upper edges of door openings 3a, 3b; and an almost cylindrical cover member 46 for retaining the air bag 38 in the folding state. On the cover member 46, a break portion 50 broken upon deployment of the air bag 38 is provided at any part of an upper side peripheral surface part indicated in a range H ranging from an upper side of the air bag 38 to a side of a cabin 8 side. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
