<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data reproducing system and method using a digital network and a resume reproduction control apparatus, wherein a resume reproducing function can be appropriately realized for each user (for each output device). <P>SOLUTION: When viewing of the same AV source is instructed in a plurality of output devices 6, 7, a controller 17 selects any one of viewing stop position information out of viewing stop position information stored in a memory 19 for each of output devices and controls reproduction start of the AV source based on the selected viewing stop position information. Thus, even if restart of viewing of the same V source is instructed in the plurality of output devices 6 and 7 and the last viewing stop positions thereof are completely different, the controller 17 appropriately perform arbitration to reproduce a resume. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
