<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithographic printing plate material excellent in tone reproducibility, plate wearability and lithographic printability and the support for the lithographic printing plate material giving the excellent tone reproducibility, plate wearability and lithographic printability, especially, in printing using a non-VOC printing ink (VOC:volatile organic compound), a lithographic printing plate material excellent in tone reproducibility, plate wearability and lithographic printability and the support for the lithographic printing plate material giving the excellent tone reproducibility, plate wearability and lithographic printability. <P>SOLUTION: This support for the lithographic printing plate material is an aluminum plate, one side of which is roughened by applying an electrochemical roughening process and anodizing process. The roughened surface has a surface profile, (a) an arithmetic mean roughness (Ra) which lies within the range from 0.40 to 0.55 μm, (b) the skewness (Rsk) in a surface height distribution which lies within the range from -1.7 to -0.9 and (c) the kurtosis (Rku) in the surface height distribution which lies within the range from 4 to 7. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
