PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium niobate piezoelectric single crystal having a high mechanical quality coefficient, and excellent in the temperature stability of resonance frequency. SOLUTION: This lithium niobate piezoelectric single crystal has a composition containing not greater than 5 mol% (excluding zero) tungsten to the total 100 mol% of niobium and lithium.
