<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively compress image data to be an object for compression by simultaneously performing compression processing by a moving image compression system and compression processing by a still image compression system with one image data compression instrument. <P>SOLUTION: In a structure for performing still image compression processing and moving image compression processing in parallel to image data to be inputted, the processing is prioritized, when image data for one frame is inputted, the compression processing with higher priority is performed until the processing for one frame ends and when it ends, the compression processing with lower priority is performed. In the case image data of a next frame is inputted, even if the compression processing with lower priority does not end for one frame, the processing is interrupted and the compression processing with higher priority is performed to a new frame. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
