PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mail transfer device, a mail transfer method, and mail transfer program in a mail transfer system, which return a mail to a user's set address in returning a transfer mail. SOLUTION: A mail transfer server 1 comprises a memory 18 for storing set data, a means 16d for generating a transfer ID corresponding to a send mail transfer process every transfer process, a memory 17 for storing cache data, a means 16f for forming a transfer mail 8 in transfer a send mail 6 to a portable telephone 4, and a send side address replacing means 16h for generating a replaced send mail 7. Upon receipt of a return mail 9 from the telephone 4, the means 16h replaces a receive side address with the send side address in a cache data memory 17, and the send side adress with a user address in the set data memory 18.
