PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sanitary cleaning device whose battery life is prolonged and whose power consumption is suppressed at low cost in comparison with the conventional one without newly adding an optical detection means such as an illuminance sensor. SOLUTION: An electric signal (c) is converted into DC waveform by a signal smoothing circuit 14 and is detected as an analog value by a control means 12 by diverting the existing signal receiving means 11 for receiving an instruction signal (a) from a remote control operation set 10 and providing a path through which the electric signal (c) is directly inputted to the control means 12 via the signal smoothing circuit 14 separately from a path through which the electric signal (c) outputted by the signal receiving means 11 as the operation instruction signal (a) is directly inputted to the control means 12. Then, the control means 12 judges light on/off of illumination for the inside of a lavatory which is disturbance light (b) from a level of the inputted electric signal (c) and controls operation/stop of each drive load, for example, a display means 13 based on the instruction.
