PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high strength thin diameter electric wire for wire harness which is superior in terminal adhesion and shock resistance. SOLUTION: The high strength thin diameter electric wire for the wire harness has a structure in which a plurality of organic fibers having a maximum elongation of 10% or more are braided around a center line made of copper or copper alloy which is softened and of which elongation is made 10% or more, and the weight ratio of the organic fibers against copper or copper alloy is 1-5%, and the thickness is 0.03-0.3 mm<SP>2</SP>as expressed in cross-section.
