发明名称 VARIABLE VALVE TRAIN FOR MULTI-CYLINDER INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable valve train materializing valve characteristics independent for each cylinder group and easily arranged on a cylinder head of a multi-cylinder internal combustion engine. SOLUTION: Two control shafts 131, 132 corresponding to number of cylinder groups exist in parallel at a rocking center part common for all intermediate drive mechanism. The two control shafts 131, 132 can exist for each control shaft without interference even if the all intermediate drive mechanism arrange on a same shaft. Each control shaft can be driven independently in an axial direction to materialize valve characteristics different for each cylinder group. Consequently, combustion conditions in #2, #3 cylinders and in #1, #4 cylinders can be independently adjusted without relying on a throttle valve and expansion of installation space can be suppressed. In a case of reduced cylinder process, valve lift of the cylinder group of objective of reduced cylinder can be made "0" and fuel economy can be improved further. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
