PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding door which brings about further improvement in the feel of openness of a room. SOLUTION: The sliding door 1 is arranged between room-outside area and a room-inside area of a building 2, and formed of a frame body 10 and sashes 20. The frame body 10 includes a head 11, a sill 12, and right and left jambs 13. The sashes 20 include an inner sash 21, an intermediate sash 22, and an outer sash 23. Each of the sashes 21 to 23 has a case 27 which is assembled of four edge members consisting of an upper rail 24, a lower rail 25, and right and left stiles 26. Each of the right and left jambs 13 has a take-in portion 130L for taking-in a doorend stile 211 of the sash 21, and a take-in portion 130R for taking-in a doorend stile 232 of the sash 23, as viewed from the indoor side, when the sashes 21 to 23 are closed. A door width dimension of each of doorend stiles 211, 232 is almost the same as a take-in dimension of each of the take-in portions 130L, 130R. Further the jamb 13R has an attachment member 133 arranged inside the doorend stile 232 of the outer sash 23, for covering an inner surface of the jamb 13R. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
