PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a belt for paper making that can reduce or remove the curling on the belt edge caused by the difference of the thermal shrinkage between the base material layer of the one face cord belt and the resin layer in the belt for the open type and caused by the difference of the thermal shrinkages between the base material layer of one face cord belt and the resin layer in the belt for the sheet transfer. SOLUTION: This belt 1 is produced by polishing both of widthwise end parts to the central part of the resin layer so that the thickness of the resin may become 0.5 mm or polishing continuously from the central part toward the edge parts with tapers in the belt for paper making that is formed with the lower or upper part of the base material layer, when the machine travels, thereby suppressing the bimetal phenomena on the one face cord belt.
