The invention relates to a fixing device for fixing cameras and other optical devices to stands or for connecting them to other accessories, comprising an adapter journal (29) which can be joined to the camera or other optical devices and a receiving device (32) which can be connected to the stand or other accessories and which is provided with an opening (15) for receiving the adapter journal (29), and a rotatable locking device. According to the invention, the opening is configured as an insert opening (15) on a part (26) which can be displaced axially in an outward manner by means of housing part (7) of the receiving device (32) such that the adapter journal (29) can be inserted radially into the insert opening (15). |
