<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an abnormality diagnostic apparatus capable of carrying out an abnormality diagnosis of a rotatable member in its working state, without disassembling a mechanism such as a bearing assembly in which the rotatable member is incorporated, and capable of carrying out a high reliability abnormality diagnosis, by preventing any false diagnosis from being made under influences of electric disturbance noises generated by a rotation driving means. <P>SOLUTION: The abnormality diagnostic apparatus for carrying out the abnormality diagnosis of a double-row conical roller bearing 11 which rotates relative to a bearing box 12 and is incorporated in an antifriction bearing assembly 10 for railroad vehicles, is equipped with a drive motor which rotatably drives the double-row conical roller bearing 11, and a vibration sensor 32 which is mounted on the bearing box 12. Abnormality diagnosis of the double-row conical roller bearing 11 is carried out, based on a detection signal from the vibration sensor 32, when the drive motor is not energized, and when the double-row conical roller bearing 11 is in its inertial rotation state in a prescribed rotation speed range. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
