<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handle mechanism for transporting apparatus, which is free from the trouble that a handle is withdrawn into an apparatus body during transporting to bring about user's injuries, breakdown of the apparatus, or the like due to a failure to lift the apparatus, and to provide an image forming apparatus provided with the same. <P>SOLUTION: The handle mechanism for transporting apparatus is provided with a handle 20 for transporting an image forming apparatus or one of other apparatus having relatively heavy weights and which can be taken out and withdrawn.
