PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate necessity of arranging a thumb of a rider at an accurate position on this side of a linear activating lever. SOLUTION: This device has a winder 170 supported by a fitting bracket 103 for fixing a steering bar fitting shaft and to be turned around a rotary shaft X, an activating body 220 to be moved between a home position and a shift position, a first ratchet mechanism 150 for converting the movement by the activating body 220 to the rotating movement of the winder 170, and an interface member 202 possible to be moved in relation to the activating body. The interface member is turned around a turning shaft P to move the activating body from the home position to the shift position, and the rotary shaft P is inclined against the steering bar fitting shaft. When moving the activating body from the home position to the shift position, the interface member moves in a direction toward a surface comprising the steering bar fitting shaft and formed in parallel with a rotary shaft X.
