PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless monitoring system capable of assuring security on a transmission path by preventing tapping or tampering on the transmission path that occurs when video signal is transmitted in wireless mode. SOLUTION: A storage 26 of a wireless monitoring camera 10 stores the face data of a person, a destination address, and a public key. If the storage 26 contains data on the person who is in an inputted video, the photographed video data are encrypted using the public key and transmitted to the destination address stored in the storage 26.
