<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a frame member for air conditioner with an inconspicuous weld part by overlapping the weld trace of the weld part with the line of a corner while minimizing restrictions for a working position of drilling/threading/drawing or the like. <P>SOLUTION: In this frame member for air conditioner, a square pipe formed in a closed square sectional shape by use of a metal flat plate by roll forming, in which butt parts to be closed are located in a corner part of the square and welded together in the corner part, is used as a frame for air conditioner.
