PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent occurrence of hollow particles and deformed particles, and to provide a toner excellent in mechanical stability by an environmentally-friendly method. SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing the toner, a dispersion prepared by finely dispersing a dispersoid consisting mainly of a resin material in a dispersion medium is discharged in the form of liquid droplets, wherein the resin material has, in its molecule, a reactive functional group capable of taking part in a crosslinking reaction near a surface of the dispersoid after the dispersion is discharged, and by the crosslinking reaction, adjacent particles of the dispersoid are joined together. The reactive functional group forms cross linkage by reacting with a functional group which the resin material of the dispersoid of an adjacent particle has. When a temperature of heating is represented by Tb[°C] and a glass transition temperature of the resin material by Tg[°C], the relationship of 35≤Tb≤Tg is satisfied. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
