PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera capable of easily adjusting a reference point used for switching a set position in bifocal control. SOLUTION: Based upon the result of the comparison of a reference value and an AF signal outputted from a distance measuring section, a photographic lens 8 is moved to a focusing position on the long distance side or the short distance side. This reference value is a numeric value based on an AF signal corresponding to a distance that makes the size of a confusion circle obtained when the photographic lens is moved to the long distance side equal to that obtained when the photographic lens is moved to the short distance side. The numeric value based on the AF signal is created based upon the AF signal outputted from the distance measuring section when a subject (test chart) is disposed at the distance that makes the confusion circles equal in size.
