<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera capable of performing stroboscopic photographing so that a subject and its background are photographed with an appropriate white balance in the case of indoor photographing or the like using stroboscopic light. <P>SOLUTION: The camera includes a color temperature converting means 20 by which, when stroboscopic photographing takes place, a color temperature converting filter BF, MF is positioned on the optical path of a photographic optical system 10 according to a color temperature measured by a white balance sensor. When a subject is to be photographed while illuminated with stroboscopic light, a color temperature is converted by the color temperature converting filter so that the color temperature of the background which the stroboscopic light does not reach is equal to the color temperature of the stroboscopic light. As a result, the background having the color of an electric bulb or fluorescent lamp is photographed with the color temperature that is equal to the color temperature of the subject illuminated with the stroboscopic light. Thus, since the white balance adjustment corresponding to the stroboscopic light is made to the image to be photographed, both the subject and background can be photographed with an appropriate white balance. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
