<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical film which can be simply and inexpensively manufactured, is excellent in mechanical characteristics and thermal durability, has low specific gravity, low birefringence, low photoelastic modulus and low wavelength dispersion and permits high retardation, to provide a retardation film made by using the optical film and to provide a polarizing plate comprising the retardation film. <P>SOLUTION: The optical film contains a norbornene-olefin copolymer resin (A) and a norbornene-olefin copolymer resin (B), wherein the norbornene-olefin copolymer resin (A) has the content of segment deriving from olefin monomer, of less than 60 mol% and the norbornene-olefin copolymer resin (B) has the content of segment deriving from olefin monomer, of 60 mol% or more. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
